Hayley Williams confirms her lyric ‘racist country singer’ is about Morgan Wallen

Williams released a solo album in the form of Ego Death at a Bachelorette Party earlier this year, and the line ‘I’ll be the biggest star at this racist country singer’s bar’ instantly made headlines.

Many fans have questioned who the supposed ‘racist country singer‘ could be, and Williams has now spilt the beans on who she was referencing.

The singer even went as far as to challenge Wallen to a face-off with her in public, adding: “Find me at Whole Foods b***h, I don’t care.”

Both Wallen and Williams are from the state of Tennessee, with the former owning a bar in the city of Nashville.

Perhaps unsurprisingly, Williams has previously declared she is not a fan of it.

UNILAD has reached out to Wallen’s representatives for comment.

Wallen has been involved in further controversy in recent years following a suspension from his record label after being filmed using a racial slur while out with friends, in a clip published by TMZ.

The singer’s music was even temporarily removed from streaming sites such as Apple Music and Spotify, while Warren later apologised for his actions.

In a statement provided to TMZ, the ‘Cowgirls’ singer said: “I’m embarrassed and sorry. I used an unacceptable and inappropriate racial slur that I wish I could take back.”

He continued: “There are no excuses to use this type of language, ever. I want to sincerely apologise for using the word. I promise to do better.”

And earlier this year, Warren caused controversy after he unexpectedly walked offstage partway through the credits during Saturday Night Live.

He was caught on camera storming offstage the second he finished performing on the show, leaving the rest of the cast shocked and bemused.

Wallen walked off past the cameras and out through the audience, leaving guest host, actor Mikey Madison, alone onstage.

The Oscar winner had to congratulate the cast by herself, while Wallen’s actions went against the long-held expectation that celebrity guests stay onstage and socialise until the cameras cut away at the end of the credits.

During the Covid pandemic in October 2020, Wallen was forced to issue an apology after videos of his partying showed him breaking social distancing rules that were in place at the time.

Wallen apologised by saying: “My actions this past weekend were pretty shortsighted and they have obviously affected my long-term goals and my dreams.”

SNL staff break silence on ‘completely disrespectful’ actions by Morgan Wallen after abruptly walking off stage during credits

Viewers were left stunned when Morgan Wallen walked off without warning during the credits of SNL

Viewers of Saturday Night Live couldn’t believe their eyes when Morgan Wallen unexpectedly walked offstage part way through the credits, and now staff have shared their thoughts about the musician’s ‘completely disrespectful’ actions.

Getting to appear on SNL is seen an honor for many artists and actors, so it came as a surprise when Wallen appeared to behave in this way.

Wallen was the musical guest for SNL, which is undoubtedly a huge platform for artists to share their work, and he performed songs ‘I’m The Problem’ and ‘Just In Case’.

But rather than talk about his performance, people have been scrutinising the moments leading up to the ‘Cowgirls’ singer walking off, trying to read his lips and figure out what caused him to leave.
