Actress Jennifer Coolidge has sparked woke fury after being exposed as a fan of Charlie Kirk.
The White Lotus star, 64, was revealed to be an Instagram follower of the murdered conservative as she attended Sunday night’s Emmy Awards in Los Angeles – and fans were not happy.
X user @oocwhitelotus uploaded a screenshot of people Coolidge follows on the social media platform- including Kirk, who was assassinated at an event in Utah last week.
‘I’m done with Jennifer Coolidge after this smh [shaking my head]’, one account wrote in response, while another begged: ‘Ummm please tell me this isn’t real.’
Coolidge became a gay icon after featuring on the first two seasons of HBO’s hit drama The White Lotus, with many progressive LGBT fans particularly upset she had dared follow Kirk.
‘Okay, this one hurts,’ a user wrote online.
Another replied: ‘The gays have lost another white blonde middle-aged woman, Jennifer Coolidge was following Charlie Kirk on IG.’

‘I’m not surprised tbh,’ one said. ‘She’s one of those conservative women that “loves the gays”.’
‘Our Gay icon follows him?’ another wrote. ‘They took her from Us.’
The disappointment deepened as Coolidge appeared at the Emmys overnight, with one fan saying she was ‘funnier when I didn’t know she was a Charlie Kirk fan’.
Another echoed: ‘Jennifer Coolidge being a Charlie Kirk fan makes this not hit as nice.’
But others users rushed to Coolidge’s defense, noting how she ‘follows everyone’ including Democrats like Kamala Harris, Hillary Clinton and Jill Biden.
As of early this morning, Coolidge no longer follows Kirk on the platform.

Fans blasted Coolidge for following Charlie Kirk on social media
Coolidge appears to have been following Kirk for months, according to screenshots shared online in May and June this year.
Some of the actress’s fans have defended her.
‘Following someone on social media doesn’t imply endorsement,’ one said.
‘This is literally nonsense. I follow people I cannot stand all the time because I still want to know what awful things they’re saying,’ wrote another.
Another added: ‘She also follow kamala and jill biden. you guys are just reading too much into this.’
It is unclear who manages Coolidge’s social media accounts.
‘Jennifer probably doesnt even use her own insta. Its probs her pr,’ one fan added.

The scrutiny over her social media following comes as Coolidge made a wild joke about Ozempic while presenting the Emmys.
‘I can tell you from experiencing winning. It’s not all it’s cracked up to be. It’s really not, you know?’ the 64-year-old comedian said at LA’s Peacock Theater.
‘I thought I had gotten really close with my fellow nominees especially after I won. [But] I’m pretty sure they removed me from the group chat.’
Coolidge was referring to having won two consecutive Emmys for her supporting role as needy and self-absorbed heiress Tanya McQuoid-Hunt in the first two seasons of HBO hit drama, The White Lotus.
‘We were all supposed to go on a trip to Ibiza and I found out that I wasn’t included,’ Coolidge continued.
‘And the only reason I knew that was because Elizabeth Debicki and I have the same Ozempic dealer. At least hers is working! But now that I think about it, winning the Emmy, I think it might have been the worst thing that’s ever happened to me.’
Coolidge – who donned a black, off-the-shoulder Christian Siriano gown – also cracked a joke about HBO Max medical drama The Pitt as stars Noah Wyle and Katherine LaNasa laughed in the audience.
‘Between us, I was actually hoping to be nominated alongside you tonight for my work on this season of The Pitt,’ the actress, who stars in A Minecraft Movie, deadpanned.
‘I played a horny grandmother having a colonoscopy during a power outage. Yeah, and I had to play a lot of levels.’
