Jake Paul shows horrific impact from injury after being knocked out by Anthony Joshua in heavyweight fight

Jake Paul took to Instagram to share a video of the horrific injuries he suffered after being knocked out by Anthony Joshua in Miami.

The heavyweight boxing fight was a mismatch from the off after the YouTuber was downed on numerous occasions by the British sports star in the bout broadcast exclusively on Netflix.

The fight was ultimately brought to a halt in the sixth round at the Kaseya Center, after a straight right hand from Joshua dealt the final blow.

“Anthony’s a great fighter, I got my ass beat, but that’s what this sport’s about,” said Paul. “I think my jaw is broken by the way.

“Yeah, it’s definitely broke. But man, that was good. A nice little a** whipping from one of the best to ever do it.

“I love this so I’m going to come back and get a world championship belt at some point.”

The influencer later confirmed that his jaw was broken in two places, writing on X (formerly Twitter): “Double broken jaw. Give me Canelo in 10 days.”

He also shared an X-ray photo of his injury, which revealed two breaks.

In footage shared to Instagram, a member of Paul’s team filmed the impact of his injuries, which saw his teeth indented and facing the wrong way.

The clip has been censored on Instagram, while the social media site also slapped a gruesome content warning on the footage.

“It’s fine right,” Paul jokingly captioned the post.

After the fight concluded in the sixth round, Paul missed out on much of the media rounds as he instead went to hospital for treatment.

Many critics were left surprised Paul managed to last six rounds against Joshua, though Paul insisted he could have carried on if he had ‘better cardio’.

“I’m not surprised, I just got tired,” he said.

“It was just so much handling his weight. If I had better cardio I could have maybe kept on fighting. But he did amazing and he hits really hard.”

While Joshua dominated the fight, the Brit described the bout as ‘not his best’ performance.

“It wasn’t the best performance. It wasn’t the best,” he said. “The end goal was to get Jake Paul, pin him down and hurt him. That has been the request leading up. That was on my mind.

“It took a bit longer than expected, but the right hand finally found the destination. Jake Paul – he’s done really well tonight. I want to give him his props.”
